The Board is Key

3M Dive Stand

In diving one of the biggest and most and important thing is the diving board. They can really help your diving and they can really hurt your diving. This is true because old diving boards are not bouncy enough which cause you to smack and get hurt going into the water. So in going into diving you want to get on the best board you possibly can so that competing at a big event your ready for their nice boards.  There are plenty of diving companies out there and boards but people never know what to look for our which ones really are the best.  The number one company for diving boards out there is definitely the Duraflex International Corporation. It says that
The Duraflex International Corporation manufactures the finest competitive diving equipment in the world - used exclusively in every Olympic Games since 1960. No other product in the world can make that claim. Duraflex Diving Boards and Durafirm Diving Stands are considered the standard of the diving world and are used in all international, national, NCAA, and high school diving competition. As you can see there, they have used these boards in the Olympics for years and now the NCAA for high school competition. This is now what is in for diving all over in high schools around the US and probably even the world.

The Safety For Diving

I wanted to from information that found on a cite about diving board saftey regulations. At first i did not really think about the saftey of it all but now i see that it must be a certain depth for you to not crack your head open.  Now when i first started diving i was  not interested in the safety regulations, i was more interested on like what the actually dives were and what you are aloud to throw, or do you have to be on the board the day before a meet practicing.  I love diving and there are abunch of interesting things about it.  Also, in diving there are many saftey regulations that you need to know. My biggest question on the safety of it all though was how deep the water had to be.
From this cite on eHow I found what the regulation on what the depth of the water had to be.  I think on my blog this is important to have sense my blog is all about diving.  I know this source is creditable because I see that it has other links that go off to other websites and that shows that this answer has variety.  It says to "Prevent diving injuries by installing your diving board over water that is at least 12 feet deep.
If you install your diving board over shallower water, you risk injuring yourself or others using your diving board" (eHow).  This quote is important because in diving you would not want to hurt yourself.  I thought this cite really helped me know how deep a pool must be with a diving baord.  If you have any infromation on height regulations for a board please post on my blog.

Welcome!

http://www.duraflex-europe.de/en/springboards/Maxi-B-16-ft.php

Hello my name is Stephen and I go to a school near Pittsburgh.  My topic is learning more about the workouts and getting in shape for diving; what makes you the best and what’s the hardest dive. This topic is an interest for me because I just started the sport and I'm going to be in it for another 4-6 years. I started doing tricks and stuff like flips on a trampoline, not a board. When I first heard of the sport I thought I would be good at it because I can hit all the tricks we do there on a trampoline. What I'm going to mainly be talking about is what the workouts are for diving, and which of the five main dives is the hardest. Like I said I just started the sport and clearly don't know everything, but I'm going to learn and keep you updated and teach you what I learn.
Although I don’t know a lot I do know some, I'm a South Fayette diver that has gone three quarters of our season on the varsity team.  I can throw most of the flips like I said but I haven’t mastered ever single one yet, but I’m good for a first year diver. I already made it to wipials when it takes some people four years to do so, and sometimes they don’t even make it then. My goal in this sport is to make it to states two or three of the four years I’m going to be diving in high school and place good. States is the step after wipials that most people train for the hardest; it’s the biggest event in any sport. I hope you all enjoy my blog and learn more about the sport as I post and keep you updated.
